Nagoya Port Terminal - Public Corporation
The Port of Nagoya has grown remarkably along with the development of the industries and economy of the Chubu Region, and serves as a driving force to support people's lives. The increase in international container cargo at the Port of Nagoya has been particularly outstanding, so that it has developed into one of the largest international container ports in Japan.
Over the past several years, larger container ships have come into use with the aim of reducing shipping costs. This has given rise to an urgent need to construct efficient, high-standard container terminals to meet the demands for efficient cargo handling and greater utilization of information technology, as well as to accommodate the growing volume of imported cargo.   The Nagoya Port Terminal Public Corporation has developed foreign-trade container terminals at Nabeta and Tobishima Piers, and a domestic ferry terminal at Sorami Pier, playing an important role in the comprehensive development of facilities at the Port of Nagoya.
As a base for integrated transportation for both international and domestic trade, the Nagoya Port Terminal Public Corporation serves an increasingly important function at the Port of Nagoya, which strives to further expand in the future.
We will continue our efforts to develop the regional economy, provide improved benefits to local residents and create marine environment for surrounding communities through close cooperation with the Nagoya Port Authority.
